Sanguine: Brute Enemy Creature

Akuma Bust Update

May 27th, 2010 by admin No comments »

So here is an update on my biker Akuma bust (which is based off the art done by Andrew Hou).   Since my last update on here; I added color and worked on a bunch on his face.  I change the face’s proportions a bit and it was my first time doing pores and hair stubs for his facial hair.  Because of the quality of the image its hard to see but I do have pores on his face.  I am having a lot of fun working on this bust and I hope by the end of it I do a good job on it.

Hi there quick update for everybody following along.  I finished the brute model for now.  I will make sure to update it in the gallery with all the information about it in the near future but here is a “sneak peak” of what it looks like up close.  I am also putting up as well a work in progress picture of a “Biker Akuma” bust that I am working on that is based on a piece of art that I had found in a Street Fighter art book that I had picked up recently.  I hope you all like it.

Small Creature 2nd Pass

March 2nd, 2010 by admin No comments »

So, here is the second pass of the small creature.  It is sitting on 2496 tris with a 1024 x 1024  diffuse, normal, and spec map.  This is my second pass at it and I did not put down the first pass mainly because of how quick I got into doing the 2nd pass of the creature.   I did the diffuse in Zbrush for the first time.   I really like polypainting in Zbrush espcially since you do not have to deal with seams done by painting.  I did touch up the diffuse a little bit in photoshop, but I wont really dive into it until later.   The normals were done using  XNormal and Zbrush and then touching them up together in Photoshop.  The spec was done in Photoshop as well. So yeah here it is I know there are somethings that need fixing, but I wanted to move onto other things for now for the game project.  I hope you like.

Final Game Project: Sanguine

February 10th, 2010 by admin No comments »

So right now I am in my school’s (Full Sail University) final game project that I am incredibly excited about because this is my first time actually making a game! I have an awesome team of artists and programmers, and I am very confident that we will make a good game. The name of our game is called Sanguine, and I am the Lead Character Artist for the game so I am thrilled to apply what I have learned and know into this project. So through out the next couple of months I will be updating this site not only to make it a better site in general, but to keep you updated on the game that I am working on. Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen!

Above: Concept art of the enemies that is in the game that I am currently involved making ‘Sanguine’.  We are going for more of a Avatar meets Warhammer 40K Tyranids look.  So this offspring of the two is what I came up with.  Super saturated intimidating look
